Annual Evidence Update on Parkinson’s Disease

The Neurological Conditions Specialist Collection launched its second Annual Evidence Update on Parkinson’s Disease on Monday 14 February 2011.

The Neurological Conditions Specialist Collection Project Team has carried out a systematic literature search on Parkinson’s Disease (PD) to identify all high level evidence published since the date of the last searches for the Parkinson’s Disease guideline published by SIGN in January 2010. Leading PD experts from around the UK have read and appraised the evidence for its validity and relevance to the busy clinician. A list of the papers deemed worthy of inclusion, along with expert commentaries by our reviewers, will be freely available on the site at www.library.nhs.uk/neurological from 14 February. This year we have continued to identify uncertainties in research to contribute to the DUETs project (see www.library.nhs.uk/duets for more details).
