NHS Evidence Update

NHS Evidence now has a new look  with some new features. Take a look at www.evidence.nhs.uk.

You can still search using your own subjects, and find high quality evidence such as systematic reviews and guidelines.

You can now also browse topic areas and medicines, and  access NICE pathways. There is a  more obvious link on the home page to the healthcare databases and e-journals (NHS Athens password needed).

Choose a topic by clicking Browse A-Z of topics.  You then have an  introduction to the topic, plus quick access to Guidelines, Patient Information, Medicine Information and ongoing research.

You can also browse an A-Z list of medicines to get prescribing information, product details and patient information.

Also new to the site are NICE Pathways, an online tool that “brings together all related NICE guidance and associated products in a set of interactive topic-based diagrams”

So, what do you think? Do you like the changes? Are you using NHS Evidence? Let us know your views using the comment form below.

If you need any help using NHS Evidence (or any other resource) please contact the Warner Library, or take a look at our training page.
