Access to the BNF

With your NHS Athens password you can access the current edition of the British National Formulary (BNF) and BNF for Children. (Need an NHS Athens password? Click here for more information)

You can access BNF using the direct link to Medicines Complete: https://www.medicinescomplete.com/mc/login.htm

You will also find a link on EEL when you click on Other Useful Websites

Click on the link in the left hand panel to Sign In Via Athens and enter your NHS Athens username and password.

You now have access to BNF and BNF for Children.

 

BNF results will also appear in search results of NHS Evidence. You can either search for a medicine or drug on the search page or use the link on the homepage to the A-Z  of topics, and choose Medicines. Here is the Medicines page for Paracetamol with links to BNF and BNF for children:
